On behalf of the Atlanta National Enterprise Center (ANEC) and the MED Week Public-Private Sector Council we would like to welcome you to join us for the 29th Annual MED WEEK Conference. THIS YEAR’S THEME IS: "Emerging Industries and Markets for Global Integration: A Blueprint for Success”
The Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Week Conference is the nation’s premier event for minority entrepreneurs and business owners. MED Week continues to provide an excellent opportunity for strategic partnership development with corporations, state and local governments, business associations, and academic institutions. As well as recognizing the achievements of minority entrepreneurs and organizations that actively supports minority business development.
3RD ANNUAL BUSINESS SUMMIT - hosted by AT&T
The Business Summit will feature a Business to Business (B2B) Matchmaking Forum
that will provide minority business enterprises access to key decision makers from leading corporations, Federal, local city and county government entities. A Seminar entitled “Branding Your Way to Increased Profits” will be facilitated by renowned author LaVon Lewis.

MED WEEK AWARDS BANQUET (SEMI FORMAL ATTIRE) – Hosted by Georgia Power
This event is designed to celebrate and recognize the outstanding achievements of minority entrepreneurs, as well as individuals and organizations that have demonstrated leadership and commitment in advancing minority business enterprise. The diversity of the awardees, as it pertains to the constituency served by the Department of Commerce’s Minority Business Development Agency, is a key objective of the Minority Enterprise Development Week Awards Program.
The Atlanta National Enterprise Center is one of five regional offices where staff oversees assistance and service delivery in multi-state regions. The NEC’s essential functions include business development service delivery and advocacy for the nation’s minority business enterprises (MBEs). The program activities of the NEC have an impact on the nation’s economy through increasing financial and contract awards to MBEs, increasing job opportunities for all Americans, and increasing gross receipts for MBEs. Additionally, NEC advocacy and information dissemination efforts positively impact the overall role and vitality of the MBE sector of the U.S. economy. The continued operations of the NEC are therefore considered critical and important to the nation.
